It's the moment fans of Star Wars and the Guardians of the Galaxy movies have been waiting for for centuries. Er, well, months. But it's felt like centuries.

It all started back in February when a fan asked director James Gunn if he could find a role for Star Wars legend Mark Hamill in the third volume of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

@JamesGunn, could you do me a huge favour and find a role for @HamillHimself in Guardians 3? The awesomeness of it might end me, but I’m willing to risk it. Thanks 🙂👍
