Man gets hilarious response after pitching astroturfed window boxes to garden show

A British man's ingenuity with astroturf has been rewarded by the Royal Horticultural Society.

It all started at the end of April, when Twitter user Rob Dickens decided to astroturf his window boxes.

Then, on Sunday, he shared his subsequent exchange with the submissions office for the RHS Chelsea Garden Show.

Yes. I did astroturf my window boxes.
Yes. I did also e-mail The Chelsea Garden show to apply for it to be exhibited.
