If you've been trying — and failing  — to use Reddit then you're not alone.

The self-proclaimed "front page of the internet" went down for many users for about an hour on Monday. 

It's not clear what caused the issue, which began around 9:23 a.m. PDT, according to a report on Reddit's status page. "This incident has been resolved," the company wrote an hour later at 10:22 a.m.

But Reddit was down for much of the United States during that one-hour period,  according to the website downdettector.com, which tracks website outages. Both Reddit's app and website failed to load and desktop users saw various error messages saying "all of our servers are busy right now" and "please try again in a minute."  Read more...
