While you can always wear earplugs to drown out unwanted sound, science says that white noise can actually help lull you off to dreamland.

It seems counterintuitive, sure, but many find it relaxing. White noise is that constant, soothing sound that masks all other disruptive clamors to promote restful shut-eye.
