It’s no secret that Prime Day 2018 got off to a rocky start. For the first hour, many users were stuck on a 404 error page featuring the dogs of Amazon.

However, none of this got in the way of breaking sales records. This year, Amazon's 36-hour event beat out the previous Prime Days, Cyber Monday, and Black Friday in terms of total sales. According to the online retail giant, customers purchased over 100 million products during Prime Day this year.

As the name suggests, the sales from this event were only available to Prime Members, and Amazon had more signups for the membership service than on any other day in history. For 2018, Prime Day was available in 17 countries with Australia, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Singapore taking part for the first time. Read more...
