Movies can teach just as well as they entertain, sometimes even in unexpected ways.

That was the message driven home by one San Diego Comic-Con attendee during the show's Halloween panel. He used his time at the mic during the panel Q&A to share a touching anecdote with the movie's star, Jamie Lee Curtis. 

"I'm just really grateful for the movie Halloween, because 34 years ago it saved my life," the man, who has since been identified as Joseph Scott, said.

Scott launched into his story of the time that he dealt with a home invasion and a knife-wielding intruder of his own. While the movie's supernatural elements obviously didn't come into play there, Scott's appreciation for the horror classic led him to a single thought. Read more...
