Summoning 'Slender Man' proves a pretty bad decision in creepy new trailer

The next look at the Slender Man film is here, and yeah, it looks pretty frightening.

Based on the internet-created boogeyman-like figure with a blank face and black suit, Slender Man takes the creepy urban myth and turns it into a supernatural horror film villain.

Set in a small town in Massachusetts, the film sees a group of friends perform a summoning ritual in an attempt to debunk Slender Man lore. One of them goes missing, so the group begins to suspect she might be a victim of the dreaded Slender Man itself.

Although the ominous online horror meme originated in a 2009 forum post/PhotoShop contest, Slender Man was also allegedly the motive for a 2014 attack by two 12-year-old girls who stabbed their friend.  Read more...
