Donald Trump has officially proven you do not need to understand speakerphone to become President of the United States.

In fact, on Monday Trump demonstrated this fact on live television ahead of his call with Mexico president, Enrique Peña Nieto.

In the moments leading up to the call, Trump struggled to figure out how the heck the phone works, which wound up being a painfully awkward sight worthy of the Veep closing credit treatment.
