The big gifting holidays come just once a year — unless you're a Loot Crate subscriber, that is.

Established in 2012, Loot Crate is a service for self-proclaimed geeks that aims to "unite the world through the shared celebration of fandom," according to its website. It does just that by shipping boxes filled with surprise assortments of merch and gear to the doorsteps of its subscribers, or "Looters," every month. With ever-changing themes about different universes and all sorts of official, exclusive collectibles waiting in each box, Loot Crate is, in a word, awesome.
