Yes, okay, it's only a 40-second teaser with no actual Season 8 footage. But frankly, the day I can't obsess over a 40-second teaser with no actual Season 8 footage is the day I no longer call myself a Game of Thrones fan.

The teaser, which dropped on Wednesday evening, shows ice and fire spreading across a map. As both spread towards the centre, miniature statues representing various Houses — wolf/Stark; dragon/Targaryen; lion/Lannister — are engulfed.
