Pilot crashes plane and proceeds to vlog his rescue from the Canadian wilderness

After crashing his plane somewhere in the Quebec wilderness, pilot Matt Lehtinen began vlogging his rescue efforts. 

Lehtinen starts his vlog by explaining that he wants people to "learn from this experience."

"Reality's setting in that this could be a while," he told the camera. "The bugs are so bad." 

Then he started a fire to send smoke up through the heavy canopy of trees. He was able to contact help with his satellite phone.

As he lit a flare to alert the rescue helicopter, the questionably cinematic music Lehtinen added to the vlog swelled. At the end of the clip, Lehtinen is airlifted out of the forest by a Royal Canadian Air Force rescue team.  Read more...
