The Late Show host starts his monologue by explaining that he's been watching HBO's Chernobyl miniseries recently — and by pointing out something that stood out to him about the show.
"Over and over again in it, a scientist or an engineer will tell a politician, 'Hey, we got a real problem here — the nuclear core is gonna melt down and kill everyone.'
