Tesla's Model S is busy traveling the world and setting records at famous racing tracks. 

On Wednesday, Tesla CEO Elon Musk said the Model S set the record for the fastest four-door car at the Laguna Seca racetrack in California, with a 1:36.555 lap.

And now, we can watch that lap on video. 

According to Musk, the Model S used for this lap has a new Plaid powertrain, which will go into mass production in about a year. It was originally supposed to be used in Tesla Roadster, but Musk now claims it will also appear on Tesla Model S and X (not Model 3 or Y, though).  Read more...
