Even if you're taking care of your physical health during this pandemic, it's also important to take care of your mental health, too. That's why Headspace announced that its subscription will be free for a year for all unemployed Americans.
Starting Thursday, anyone who lost their job during the COVID-19 outbreak can register for a free subscription with the guided meditation app.
"As unemployment numbers continue to skyrocket, people around the country are facing not only a financial hardship due to job loss, but also an extraordinary mental health burden," Headspace stated in a press release. About a third of Americans have experienced "high levels of psychological distress" due to coronavirus social distancing, according to a Pew Research Center survey of 9,545 Americans conducted in March and April.
