Just when you thought President Donald Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic could not be more inept, the White House indicated on Tuesday that it plans to wind down the coronavirus task force. The health crisis is still ongoing and the death toll continues to climb, with experts now projecting 134,000 U.S. deaths. But sure. Get rid of the group whose sole purpose is to manage the deadly pandemic.
"When Trump said as the weather gets warmer it would miraculously go away, I didn't know he meant our response!" said Stephen Colbert on Tuesday.
