Back in February, Walmart teased us with the announcement of a new subscription service meant to compete with Amazon Prime — sort of. Well, as of Sept. 15, the service, named Walmart+, is finally here after some COVID-19-related delays.
Walmart+ doesn't quite live up to Amazon Prime status, but there are some pretty nice benefits if you're already an avid Walmart shopper. Plus, more benefits will be added in the future, according to the company.

Unlimited free delivery: Not only do you get unlimited free delivery, but you can even enjoy same-day delivery on some products. This isn't just for groceries either, like Walmart's former service Delivery Unlimited (which has been absorbed into Walmart+) — it includes in-store pricing and free delivery on more than 160,000 items like tech, toys, and household essentials as well. This is especially great for when you need a last-minute gift and don't have time to run to the store.

Scan & Go: Walmart+ shoppers can scan items on their phone as they shop around the physical store. This allows customers to avoid long checkout lines and head to self-checkout regardless of how many items they have because they're already registered and ready to be totaled. You'll just do a quick tap with Walmart Pay and you're good to go with all your purchases. Bonus: This means you can have a contact-free checkout. Read more...
