YouTube bans Trump for another week ahead of Biden's inauguration

Donald Trump won't be posting on YouTube for at least another week.

The Google-owned video platform has extended the Trump ban it had imposed a week ago. “In light of concerns about the ongoing potential for violence, the Donald J. Trump channel will be prevented from uploading new videos or livestreams for an additional minimum of seven days,” a YouTube spokesman told CNBC

Trump's channel isn't fully banned — old content is still available — however, Trump will be unable to post, and comments under his videos are "indefinitely disabled."

2/ Given the ongoing concerns about violence, we will also be indefinitely disabling comments on President Trump’s channel, as we’ve done to other channels where there are safety concerns found in the comments sectionhttps://t.co/1aBENHGU5z
