Timothée Chalamet is the son of Edward Scissorhands in this sweet Super Bowl ad

This Super Bowl Sunday, kick back, relax, and enjoy an...Edward Scissorhands sequel? Well, OK!

In a commercial for Cadillac aired ahead of Super Bowl LV, Academy Award-nominated actor and rumored Willy Wonka Timothée Chalamet takes on the role of everyone's favorite misunderstood multitool in an elaborate ad for hands-free driving. (OK, technically speaking, he's "Edgar" not "Edward" Scissorhands, but the character is practically identical. I think maybe he is Kim and Edward's son? Still, we're not counting that as canon.) 

Opposite real Edward Scissorhands star Winona Ryder, who played Edward's love interest Kim in the 1990 fantasy film, Chalamet portrays what it would be like for a younger Scissorhands to grapple with modern life. Gone are the days of topiary, dog grooming, and hair cuts; here are the days of snipping bus pull cords, overachieving at the salad bar, and, fittingly, puncturing a football.  Read more...
