Between Saint Maud and now The Power, it seems like nurse horror is all the rage at the moment.
Set in 1974 in an echoey London hospital, Corinna Faith's movie shares a name with the upcoming Amazon adaptation of Naomi Alderman's novel but little else. It follows Val (Rose Williams), a new employee working the night shift at a time when miners' strikes are leading to regular blackouts across the city.
The sprawling hospital complex with its empty and echoing corridors makes for the perfect horror setting, and from the looks of the trailer this one is going to really ramp up the psychological terror. Read more...
