Protesters have taken to the streets in an American city once again after multiple incidents of police using excessive force, including lethal force, on Black citizens. Over the past weekend alone, 2nd Lt. Caron Nazario filed a lawsuit against two Virginia cops who pulled him over in December and proceeded to threaten and pepper spray him — and on Sunday, 20-year-old Daunte Wright, a father of one, was killed by an officer who later said she "accidentally" shot him with her firearm, when she'd intended to reach for her taser.

Daily Show host Trevor Noah had the only reasonable reaction to that excuse: "You have got to be fucking kidding me."  Read more...
