We've had post-apocalyptic films where you can't make any sound, and ones where you can't open your eyes outdoors. Now, it's time for one where nobody can go to sleep.
That's the concept for Mark Raso's new Netflix film Awake, which sees a global event wiping out the earth's electricity and reducing humans to desperate, sleep-deprived husks.
The movie stars Gina Rodriguez, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Shamier Anderson, and Love and Monsters star Ariana Greenblatt as Matilda — a little girl who may be the key to unlocking the film's mystery.
