A refurbished model 770 1967 Amphicar has recently resurfaced after going on auction at Bring a Trailer. The amphibious vehicle became a staple of American culture despite the fact that only 3,878 were manufactured between 1961 and 1968. The Amphicar rose to fame in commercials and action movies and even President Lyndon Johnson ended up buying his own.
