Jake Gyllenhaal stars as a call operator in a 911 call center in Netflix's upcoming thriller The Guilty. The film, directed by Antoine Fuqua (Training Day, The Equalizer), takes place over a single morning as Joe Baylor (Gyllenhaal) works to save a caller in grave danger. Soon, he discovers that nothing is as it seems and works to discover and face the truth.
The trailer for The Guilty, which is a remake of a 2018 Danish movie of the same name, is chock full of tension, as Joe works to communicate with a distressed caller before beginning the search for her and her kidnapper. If The Guilty is even half as stressful as this sneak peek, then we're in for a real nail biter.
The Guilty is in select theaters Sept. 24 and streaming on Netflix Oct. 1.
