Amazon is running an early holiday kick-off sale on its devices this week. Here are the best deals:

Those pesky supply chain issues you keep hearing about are set to make availability the main plotline of this year's Black Friday sales (especially when it comes to big-ticket items like gaming consoles and Apple devices). Plan ahead, though, and you just might be able to score a good deal while you're at it.

Early birds will enjoy their first major payoff this week as Amazon runs a holiday kick-off sale on its proprietary devices: Starting Oct. 4, you can save on Fire, Kindle, and Echo devices from the past few years. (Pro tip: Don't wait to hit "purchase" if something catches your eye, because we have no idea how long these offers are scheduled to last.)

The new 11th-gen Kindle Paperwhites just went up for preorder, but Amazon's Black Friday-level deal on their predessor might tempt you in a different direction: The 32GB version of the 10th-gen Paperwhite is now on sale for $89.99, or 44% off its $159.99 MSRP. That puts it just $2 away from August's all-time-low price and only $15 away from the 8GB variant, which is currently discounted to $74.99 in one color.
