Dyson cordless vacuums have been such a hit this Black Friday season that we've barely heard a peep about the popular upright corded models.
But Cyber Monday is full of surprises: Best Buy has dropped the Dyson Ball Animal upright vacuum from $499.99 to $299.99. That huge discount feels even bigger after seeing Best Buy actually raise prices on the cordless stick models that it had on super sale a few days ago.
Pets are a big reason why someone might decide to not go cordless when shopping for a new vacuum. People have sworn by Dyson's corded Ball vacuums for years because their power is hard to find in even the best cordless Dysons.
The Dyson Ball Animal creates 270 air watts of suction and is able to dig deep into carpets to pull out pet hair. The included mini motorized pet tool is particularly tough on pet hair that's matted into furniture, car seats, or stairs. The cordless Dyson models at the same price point (under $300) simply don't harness the same power.
Barring the obvious fact that you'll be tethered to a wall, the Dyson Ball Animal is quite maneuverable. The iconic Ball mechanism provides a flexible range of motion that helps with bending under furniture or around corners. The cord is super long, and technically, you won't have to deal with short battery life, either.
