The Echo Auto functions just like any other Echo device, except that it plugs into your car's 12-volt outlet or USB port. You can ask it to play music from streaming services, play radio, go back, skip, play or pause audio, and more. In addition to hands-free music selection, Alexa will check the news for you, place calls, edit and remind you of to-do lists, and Google the nearest gas station.
Alexa's Auto Mode also turns your phone into a customized display interface for drivers, with larger text so that you can glance to see what's playing without squinting and streamlined shortcuts to your favorite apps that you can tap without needing to scroll.
