Big Bird talking to Brett Goldstein and Oscar the Grouch, both sitting in trash cans, on the set of

There's a beautiful new grouch in the neighborhood. His name is Brett Goldstein.

The die-hard Muppets fan who plays Roy Kent, Ted Lasso's most famous grump, visited Sesame Street to chill in a trash can alongside his "kindred spirit," Oscar the Grouch.

On Tuesday, Goldstein tweeted a stunning 16-second clip of the delightful crossover. The snippet shows him and Oscar sitting side-by-side in bins. Big Bird saunters over to the two while singing and stops to ask: "Isn't it a beautiful day?" In response to the walking ray of sunshine before them, Goldstein and Grouch exchange a look of mutual loathing and seek refuge in their trash cans. It's a truly glorious sight.

The official Sesame Street Twitter account tweeted the clip with the caption, "Grouches gonna grouch on Sesame Street. 💚 Thanks for visiting our neighborhood @BrettGoldstein! We love you!"

Goldstein replied, "I met a kindred spirit the other day. I told him we had a lot in common. He told me to scram."

It only makes sense that Goldstein and Sesame Street's lovable trash dweller finally met, since it's not Goldstein's first time in a bin. As Ted Lasso fans will recall, in Season 1, Episode 9, "All Apologies," Goldstein's character Kent is seen chilling a trash can ice bath while wallowing over his performance in the last game. Then Ted walks in and says, "Look at you in there, looking like a brunette Oscar the Grouch." And you know what? He did.

This incredibly rude friendship completes us and we need more footage immediately. We only hope that Goldstein (who's clearly channeling the sweary Roy Kent in this video) remembered to use Sesame Street-worthy language during his visit.
