PSA: Walmart's 'Rollbacks and More' sale is still live even though Prime Day 2 is over

One thing about Walmart is that it will never pass up a chance to mess with Jeff Bezos' bottom line.

The big box store is hosting a sitewide "Rollbacks and More" event from Oct. 10 to 13, ushering in some deep discounts across its tech, home, and apparel departments ahead of the holiday season. It's not explicitly advertised as a response to Amazon's Prime Early Access Sale, which ran from Oct. 11 through 12, but that timing is no coincidence. (Walmart previously hosted a Prime Day-style Walmart+ Weekend in June, then offered doorbusters in conjunction with Amazon's flagship sale in July — we're seeing a pattern here.)

Amazon's sale has been hogging the spotlight this week, and perhaps rightfully so: It featured unprecedented deals on big-ticket items like Peloton bikes and MacBooks, which none of its competitors have managed to replicate. But Walmart's event has two big things going for it:

1. There's no membership fee required to unlock deals.

2. Those deals are still live through the end of the day — a whole 24 hours beyond the Prime Early Access Sale's runtime.
